Job summary

Precision Point Metrics is seeking a Heavy-Duty Scale Technician to service industrial and commercial scale systems across the Austin region. This full-time, hybrid field role requires hands-on installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, able to lift up to 100 lbs, hold a valid driver's license, and either possess a CDL or be willing to obtain one. Travel regionally with occasional overnight stays is expected.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to travel regionally with overnight stays.
• Hold a valid driver’s license or be willing to obtain a CDL (A/B with air brake).
• Clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving and independent work ethic.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair heavy-duty truck and industrial scales.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Use calibration weights and diagnostic equipment for accuracy and compliance.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers, and lifting devices as required.
• Document service activities and maintenance records with precision.
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional work ethic.
• Manage time to meet service deadlines.
