Job summary

Berry Material Handling in Salina, KS, seeks an experienced forklift technician/mechanic with strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills. This is a field service role covering Salina and surrounding areas, not a shop position. Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00, no weekends.

Hourly pay with no flat-rate system. In-house training provided to upgrade skills. The role requires hands-on repair of forklift components, plan and execute repairs, and maintain thorough records.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and safe work habits.
• Electrical forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Teamwork with parts personnel and other service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Repair machine components in the field with high quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs.
• Pre-order parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Perform repairs safely and to standard.
• Maintain accurate repair records in the field.
