Job summary

tmmclean in California is seeking an experienced Onsite Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cleaning equipment including Kärcher, Tennant, and Nilfisk floor machines and high-power pressure washers.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical expertise, independent work ability, and field troubleshooting experience across complex systems. Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment reports is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certification strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of hands on repair experience, ideally with floor machines and pressure washers.
• Factory training or deep experience with Kärcher, Tennant, Nilfisk, or Hotsy equipment.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and repair techniques.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs in large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on cleaning equipment.
• Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and tools.
• Create and provide equipment status reports to site and divisional leadership.
• Perform preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer schedules.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Create and maintain accurate service records and manage parts usage and inventory.
• Provide ongoing technical support.
• Create and maintain training for operators onsite.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with on-site leaders on efficient equipment practices.
• Operate and test all onsite equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport equipment
