Job summary

AllSearch Staffing Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a wire machinery manufacturer in Atlanta, GA to commission, troubleshoot, and upgrade equipment across North America. Travel is extensive, with 120–150 days per year, and you will work with PLC/HMI, VFDs, and motion control.

You will install, program, and debug controls, read schematics, and support startup and training at customer sites. This is a great opportunity to work with advanced automation in a stable company.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in wire or wire and cable manufacturing, with wire drawing machinery experience.
• Associate degree or technical cert in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with industrial PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI programming and operator interfaces.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, machine controls, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Commission wire drawing, stranding, extrusion, and heat treatment equipment.
• Install, configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and automation systems.
• Program, modify, and debug PLC software and HMI applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, and motion control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Travel 120–150 days per year throughout North America to customer sites.
