Job summary

HBK Hottinger Brüel & Kjaer in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Vibration Test Systems team. You will service customers across electronics, automotive, aviation and aerospace at their facilities to keep equipment functional with minimal downtime.

Most sites are within the continental USA, with occasional travel abroad. Responsibilities include commissioning, maintenance and repairs of VTS equipment, organizing customer visits, and writing onsite summaries in the CRM.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand or learn mechanical and electronic engineering concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot precise equipment and perform repairs.
• Ability to dismantle/reassemble high-precision equipment efficiently.
• Willingness to travel to client sites with short notice.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Clean driving record and business English proficiency.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, maintenance and repairs of VTS equipment per procedures.
• Organize trips to customers based on provided schedules.
• Write onsite action summaries and document in CRM.
• Provide post-sales service and resolve equipment issues for customers.
