Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to visit customer sites, service, troubleshoot and repair vacuum systems, install equipment, and ensure safety compliance.

You will act as on-site contact, document activities, provide service recommendations, and escalate issues as needed; 1-3 years relevant experience, high school diploma, AS preferred; English fluent.

Qualifications

• Inspection, troubleshooting and repair of technical systems at customer sites.
• 1–3 years in a technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.
• Prefer customer-facing experience and English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair systems.
• Diagnose issues to prevent equipment downtime and perform installations.
• Be the on-site contact, provide service recommendations, and address customer needs promptly.

Job description

You will

• Report into the Site Manager.
• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. You will also diagnose any issues prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

To succeed, you will need

• High School Diploma.
• Prefer an AS degree (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree).
• 1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. Ideally, with customer facing experience.

Knowledge areas/Skills

• Strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations and timeframes, while working in alignment with Edwards strategies and processes.
• Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems aligned with job responsibilities and escalates through the appropriate channels when required.
• Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand customer ‘s business.
• Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge and provide coaching to less experienced team members.
• Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.
• Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met.
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
• Can understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work e.g., technical drawings.
