Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Miami territory, performing troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment. You will work remotely from home covering Miami and surrounding areas, reporting to the Regional Service Manager.

Travel is required; the role supports a growing diagnostics service team within Danaher’s Beckman Coulter Diagnostics organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred (technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related).
• 1 year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage service schedules and travel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, validate, perform preventive maintenance, modifications, and service repair on Beckman Coulter equipment, delivering excellent service to customers.
• Maintain accurate customer service logs, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.
• Utilize business systems (OBI, Salesforce, SharePoint) for Service Call Planning and team goals.
• Communicate with internal and external customers, addressing their needs.
• Assist with training newer Field Service Engineers to foster knowledge transfer.

The Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the needs of our client, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment.

This position reports to the Regional Service Manager and is part of the CD Florida South field service team. The position will be working remotely to cover the Miami territory and surrounding areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Under minimal direction, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment including providing excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s customers, along with technical training on products.
• Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.
• Utilize business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
• Communicate with various levels of internal and external customers, recognizing and addressing their unique needs.
• Foster collaboration by assisting with the training of newer Field Service Engineers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Associate degree preferred (technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related field) or equivalent military experience.
• 1 year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage service schedules, priorities, and travel efficiently.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Hold a current valid driver’s license and good driving record over the last three.
• Ability to travel (providing service in an assigned geography and periodic travel to other areas/overnight).
• Candidates must be able to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.).
• Candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• 3+ years’ experience of advanced trouble shooting.
• Developing relationships with internal and external customers to foster positive partnership and enhance likelihood of customer satisfaction and retention.

The hourly range for this role is $35.00 to $39.00 hour.

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
