Job Title: Field Service Engineer Technician
Location: New York City or Kansas City, MO

Position Overview
This is a Field Service Engineer Technician role supporting medical systems across various customer sites. The position can be based in either New York City or Kansas City, but 80% to 100% national travel is required.
Candidates must obtain a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to work at various institutions on behalf of the client. Travel expenses must initially be paid by the employee and will be reimbursed according to company policy. Candidates will also be compensated for travel time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform proper system installations on medical systems.
- Conduct system hardware and/or software upgrades.
- Handle service repair calls and troubleshooting activities.
- Complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance services.
- Maintain complete and accurate service records for submission to the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Efficiently manage work-related travel and communications based on schedules provided by the Field Service Manager.
- Submit accurate and timely business expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Support company initiatives related:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Other regulatory requirements
- Comply with:
- U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations
- Company policies and operating procedures
- Regulatory requirements and assigned tasks
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical degree required, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mechanical assembly experience and ability to work with tools.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-up capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interface with multiple groups across the organization to resolve service-related issues.
- Positive, professional, and optimistic attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Previous experience working for a medical device company.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience working within a broader enterprise or cross-divisional business unit model.
- Experience operating in highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage resources and collaborate effectively to accomplish projects.
Travel Requirements
