Job summary

Prosum is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Boise, ID to install, maintain and troubleshoot advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems. You will collaborate with global teams, service customers onsite, and ensure high system uptime in cleanroom environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of hands-on FSE experience, a degree in engineering or physical sciences, familiarity with diagnostic tools and laser/optics, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
2–5 years of professional engineering experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs) and hand tools.
Experience in a cleanroom environment; familiarity with lasers, vacuum and optical systems.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades in cleanroom environments.
Interface with customers to diagnose issues and deliver technical solutions; ensure high system uptime.
Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
Provide service reports and feedback to management; participate in product improvement initiatives.
