Job summary

Bay Cast Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead base plate installations at customer facilities across the United States. This hands-on, traveling role requires coordinating installation activities from start to finish and supervising crews of millwrights, riggers, and contractors.

When not traveling, you will organize materials, review job requirements, prepare installation documentation, and support upcoming projects from Bay City, MI.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial machinery installation, rigging, millwright work, construction, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and mechanical layouts.
• Proficiency with basic MS Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Formal education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide to customer locations ~50% of the year to perform and supervise installations.
• Lead and coordinate installation crews while on-site.
• Perform base plate installation steps (rigging, leveling, drilling, anchoring, grouting).
• Read and interpret installation drawings and anchor-bolt layouts.
• Safely operate rigging and installation equipment and coordinate with customers/vendors.
• Maintain field documentation and ensure customer signoffs and safety compliance.
