SalesFirst Recruiting is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer based in Charlotte, NC. The role blends field work, application engineering, customer support, and cross-functional collaboration with product management, design, quality, manufacturing, and sales teams across North America.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in engineering/technical service, hands-on tire and heavy equipment experience, and the ability to travel 50% across North America.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in engineering, technical service, field service, or application support.
• Experience with off-highway tires or heavy equipment applications preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, agriculture, science, or related technical field preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on comfort with tires, wheels, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to travel at least 50% across North America.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; data analysis tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations of off-highway tire products at customer, dealer, and distributor locations.
• Provide technical support to sales teams, OE partners, aftermarket distributors, and end customers.
• Evaluate tire use, maintenance conditions, product performance, and application fit.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns and help resolve technical product issues.
• Analyze field claims, test data, warranty findings, and product performance trends.
• Prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify product improvement opportunities and share feedback with product, design, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide technical training for sales teams, customers, and distributors.
• Assist with customer satisfaction feedback and translate field insights into actionable recommendations.
