Job summary

DTE is seeking a Field Service Specialist to install, commission, service and troubleshoot metal production analytical devices at customer sites across the United States. The role requires ~50% travel and a strong hands-on approach in heavy industrial environments.

You will work closely with customers during installation and service visits, training operators and providing on-site and remote support. Based in the United States with the ability to travel and live within reach of a major airport,

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in assembly, field service, or technical support with electronic/industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting automated control systems and logic.
• Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving mindset.
• Hands-on with prototypes, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvement.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, install, and commission metal production analytical devices at customer sites.
• Ensure installations and service work meet quality, safety, and schedule standards.
• Implement DTE solutions and train customer operators to use them.
• Service, maintain, and repair installed solutions including remote support.
• Confirm site readiness ahead of installation and flag gaps early.
• Participate in on-call rota for remote and on-site support.
• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering for continuous improvement.
