Job summary

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled LV/MV Switchgear & Controls Service Engineer to help customers keep operations online. You will diagnose, service, and repair transformers, circuit breakers, and LV/MV switchgear on-site, and commission startups to verify equipment meets specifications.

You’ll train operators, deliver clear test reports, and share system performance insights while tracking time, managing on-site inventory, and applying remote troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s in electrical engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of field service experience with power systems and electrical equipment.
• NFPA 70E, OSHA 30 and similar credentials viewed favorably.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills.
• Experience with transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear; low- and medium-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on transformers, circuit breakers, and LV/MV switchgear.
• Commission and support startups, ensuring equipment meets specifications and functions as intended.
• Train operators on system use and maintenance; deliver clear test reports and system performance insights.
• Track time, document service work, manage on-site inventory, and apply remote troubleshooting when appropriate.
• Champion safety by following OSHA and company protocols, maintaining certifications, and participating in ongoing training.
