Job summary

Labman Automation Ltd. seeks a US-based Field Service Engineer or Field Application Scientist to support our growing customer base across North America.

You will be the face of Labman for US customers, delivering on-site installations, maintenance and technical support for complex automation systems. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, a strong customer orientation and the ability to troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical and software domains.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with laboratory equipment and automation systems.
• Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline preferred.
• Around 3–5 years of industry experience with laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience interpreting engineering documentation and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Labman Automation systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software‑related issues.
• Provide remote and onsite technical support.
• Train customers following system installations.
• Support system validation and acceptance testing activities.
• Document service activities and customer feedback.
• Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical contact.
