Job summary

We’re seeking highly motivated engineering students for Eaton’s Field Service Engineer Internship. This paid summer internship offers hands‑on projects in electrical power distribution, coaching from experienced leaders, and exposure to field assignments that build technical and leadership skills.

Participants will work on real projects, gain experience with testing and troubleshooting, and present outcomes to senior teams. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or have a degree in engineering from an accredited institution with focus in engineering.
• Minimum overall GPA 2.8.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT for this position.
• Must be willing to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments involving testing or design work.
• Gain knowledge in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, and power quality measurements.
• Generate timely service reports on work, product performance and warranties.
