Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems field service internship offers hands-on experience powering real-world power distribution challenges. You'll work on projects, deliver technical solutions, and learn from mentors across a broad U.S. regional footprint.

Travel up to 25% and a structured training program help develop technical and leadership skills for a future in power systems. Interns must be enrolled in an engineering degree, maintain GPA targets, and be eligible to relocate

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or received a degree in a bachelor’s or master’s program with a focus in engineering.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
• Prior electrical/power industry related experience.
• Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations.
• Gain knowledge in: Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
