Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to join our Field Service Team in Childress, Texas. You will provide on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

The role requires 5+ years of professional experience and an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and work at client sites managing complex deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience plus either an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience delivering technical Field Services at client sites for hardware and software.
• Customer-facing experience including reporting to all levels of the organization.
• Experience working where clients have large deployments and with networking and Fiber.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs to replace components on server stacks.

Responsibilities

• Triage issues with direction from Dell support.
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3 using Teams, Email, and Phone.
• Document POA results, logs and service reports to Dell via case email.
• Reseat, swap or replace parts and upgrade firmware as needed.
• Perform server tests and validation by running diagnostics and uploading logs.
