Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation in Virginia Beach is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to provide system-level support for STEI platforms used by the US Navy. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, CASREP tracking, and validating readiness through testing and technical reviews.

Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and have at least three years of electronics maintenance experience, including Unix/Linux troubleshooting and RF testing.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Minimum three years experience with test equipment including TDRs, spectrum and vector network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum three years electronics maintenance background; familiarity with Unix/Linux troubleshooting, low-level systems administration, or RF testing.
• Minimum three years of C4ISR system maintenance or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing system level technical support to the US Navy's STEI systems.
• Troubleshooting, identifying resolutions, and performing corrective actions on STEI systems.
• Tracking CASREPs and distance support actions.
• Performing TFBR reviews for 3M preventive maintenance.
• Performing system level testing to validate operational readiness.
• Performing TM and procedural reviews for technical accuracy and validity.
• Reviewing system training materials for technical accuracy and validity.
