Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to provide expert CSRR support and maintenance for submarine radio systems. The role involves hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and installation across lab environments and onboard submarines, with ongoing modernization and training responsibilities.

The position requires prior ITSX experience on submarines and CSRR expertise, with a Security+ certification. Travel is expected at 15–25% and U.S.

Qualifications

• Prior military experience as ITSX on submarines (at least 5 years)
• Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) experience (at least 5 years)
• Security+ certification (may obtain within first few months of employment)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for CSRR and components.
• Test, troubleshoot, remove, rebuild and re-install submarine communication systems and equipment.
• Support PITCO and SOVT testing with end-to-end radio system validation onboard submarines.
• Install software and perform system backups on Windows and Red Hat Linux CSRR components.
• Conduct corrective maintenance, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of CSRR transceiver/receiver systems.
• Assist modernization efforts and provide on-the-job training to ship's force post-modification.
