Job summary

Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer I to perform preventive maintenance and customer support on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical process equipment at client sites across the Americas.

The role requires troubleshooting, on-site repairs, and effective communication with customers. Travel to customer facilities up to 50–70% is required; a technical or life sciences degree is preferred, with 1+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in life science field preferred.
• Technical or trade school degree required.
• 1+ years of experience with process equipment (pharmaceutical industry preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and cGMP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and customer support for warranty and service contracts.
• Respond to customer complaints with effective problem diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on process equipment.
• Coordinate travel, parts shipments, and scheduling for customer visits and service.
• Document service reports, update CRM with actions taken, and ensure closure of actions.
