Job summary

Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer I to perform preventive maintenance and provide on-site customer support for AKBA equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and assist with training on new products at customer sites. The role requires travel across the Americas (50–70%), strong mechanical, electrical, and automation knowledge, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science preferred.
• 1+ years working with process equipment in pharma/biopharma.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment at customer sites.
• Respond to customer complaints and diagnose root causes.
• Train end-users on new products and procedures when needed.
• Maintain service records and documentation in the CRM/database.
