Job summary

Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to perform preventive maintenance and on-site support for Planova virus removal filters and bioprocess equipment in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, deliver on-site training, and maintain service records while traveling to customer facilities across the Americas. A technical degree and 1+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Travel to visit domestic and international customer sites (50-70% of days).
• Technical or trade school degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in life science preferred.
• 1+ years with process equipment (pharma).
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, instrumentation, fittings, and analytical tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and cGMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and on-site servicing.
• Respond to customer complaints and diagnose root causes.
• Site Acceptance Testing, start-up, and training.
• Maintain service records in CRM and service databases.
• Coordinate with Sales for renewals and service contracts.
• Travel to customer sites as required (50-70%).
