Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an engineer to join a team delivering autonomous vehicle and peripheral equipment systems. The role requires reading engineering drawings and hands-on software work with C/C++, MATLAB, and Python.

Expect significant travel (60-75%) to customer sites and opportunities to modify both hardware and software as part of project teams. The position supports employees with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities, while working with a global leader in food and beverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of full-time engineering work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Prior software experience required (C, C++, MATLAB, Python; Visual Basic preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

• Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance.

On a given day, you may:

• Install autonomous vehicles and peripheral equipment (chargers, I/O panels, operator interfaces, etc.).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• BS or BSET in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic, etc.) Preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2+ years of full-time engineering work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Prior software experience required (C, C++, MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Candidates will need to reside in or near Detroit, MI or Chalfont, PA other locations will be considered.

The estimated hourly range for this role is $40.00 - $45.00 an hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
