Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, and service repair of Beckman Coulter equipment across the southeast Texas region. The role emphasizes customer-focused technical service and on-the-job training for peers.

You will travel to customer sites, maintain logs, and coordinate with the Field Service Manager to ensure timely, accurate service delivery in a remote-friendly work setup.

The Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the needs of our client, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being. This position is part of the Service Organization located in Houston, TX and will be fully remote covering the areas of southeast Texas, Houston area.

You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Manager and responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Under minimal direction, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment including providing excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s customers, along with technical training on products.

Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.

Utilize business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.

Communicate with various levels of internal and external customers, recognizing and addressing their unique needs.

Foster collaboration by assisting with the training of newer Field Service Engineers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Associate degree (prefer technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related) or equivalent military experience or High School diploma with 3 years of experience.
• 1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
• Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to travel , 20% overnight, within territory including Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50lb (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.).
• It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 3+ years’ experience of advanced trouble shooting Developing relationships with internal and external customers to foster positive partnership and enhance likelihood of customer satisfaction and retention.

The hourly range for this role is $34.00/hour - $38.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
