Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to join their Electric Power Division in Louisiana. In this role, you will deliver technical expertise supporting field startups and maintenance of switchgear systems, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across your territory.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of power systems, and at least two years of relevant experience. This position includes a travel requirement of up to 75%, and relocation assistance is available.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of related experience or four years of equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of switchgear, ATS, and generator systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background checks.
Responsibilities
- Perform startup, preventative maintenance, and repair on switchgear systems.
- Submit service reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Provide customer training on troubleshooting and equipment testing.
