Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Colorado is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver advanced field services for power systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires hands-on expertise with high voltage equipment and substations, travel across North America, and strong collaboration with customers.

You will lead field service projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and identify opportunities for service improvements while maintaining a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field service experience with power/mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with substation construction and high voltage equipment.
• Valid US driver's license and ability to travel within US, Canada, Mexico.
• Fluent in English and able to work in the US.
• Trade education in Industrial Mechanic/Electrical trades; degree is a plus.

Your background

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades.
• College or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical field service work with power/mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
• Current driver's license valid in the US and ability to work in the US.
• Ability to travel to the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Pay Disclosure (Colorado Applicants Only):
The annual salary range for the Field Service Engineer (GCB) position is$107,700.00 to $134,600.00 This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of what it expects to pay for this role in Colorado. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, bonuses, and paid time off.
