Job description

As a Field Service Engineer at Agilent, you will support customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy systems. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, optimizing hardware and software configurations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through integrated solutions. This role requires strong organization, time management, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products at customer sites.
2. Diagnose and resolve performance issues.
3. Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
4. Guide customers on preventive maintenance to reduce disruptions.
5. Proactively address potential equipment issues to ensure continuous operation.
6. Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
7. Identify opportunities for lead generation.

Must reside in the Minneapolis, MN / St. Paul, MN area.

Travel: 40-50% (Core: MN, ND, SD, IA | District: ND, SD, MN, NE, IA, KS, MO, AR, Southern IL)

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
2. At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or as an end user of Gas Chromatography and Molecular Spectroscopy.
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Experience with Agilent GC/GCMS products is a plus but not required.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Willingness to travel within a multi-state region.

Additional Details:

This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule, offering options for remote work. Applications are accepted until May 6, 2025, or until the position is filled. US employees may choose a company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle use. The pay range is $41.27 - $64.48/hr, plus bonuses, stock, and benefits, determined by role, experience, and location. Specific pay details will be provided during hiring.
