As a Field Service Engineer supporting Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), you work directly at customer substations and power facilities across the United States, providing technical support throughout all phases of project execution, including installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance, and handover. This is a USbased field service role focused on handson engineering work with High Voltage GIS equipment in active operating environments. You support multiple customer sites based on service demand, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and coordinate onsite activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of critical power infrastructure. Your work contributes to grid reliability, safety, and modernization across the US transmission and substation landscape, while offering broad exposure to GIS systems and customerfacing service work within the power industry.
Working in Hitachi Energy's US High Voltage Service organization provides handson exposure to advanced GIS technology, complex field service environments, and collaboration with experienced professionals supporting the US power grid.
In accordance with New Jersey pay transparency requirements, the expected Total Base Pay range for this position is $91,000.00 - $113,700.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
