Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) for Ultra-precision Machine Tools (Home Office)

As a business unit of AMETEK, Precitech develops, produces, and distributes ultra-precision machines for diamond turning, grinding, and milling of spherical, aspherical, and non-axisymmetric (freeform) optics. Precitech is the world leader in diamond surface finishing. With our machines we enable, besides others, the production of optical molded parts, lenses, and mirrors as well as precision fine mechanical components. Our German administrative headquarter is located in Meerbusch near Dusseldorf.
Your job as a professional (m/w/d) for highly complex technology:
Autonomous commissioning, maintenance, and repair of our precision machines
Regular and acute troubleshooting on our electro-optic systems
Advice and support of our customers over the phone, via mail, and on-site with a focus on Europe
Instruction, training, and training of our customers
Autonomous coordination and organization of different service tasks
Preparation of offers for services and spare parts
Regular maintenance of our customer databases
Close cooperation with sales and technology to increase customer satisfaction
It depends on your ability:
Completed apprenticeship, study, or technical degree (m/w/d) with electrical background or similar
Electrotechnical and mechanical understanding
First professional experience, ideally as an in-field service technician (m/w/d)
Experience with servo systems, PLC, CNC, hydraulics, pneumatics
Profound PC knowledge / IT affinity
Fluent German and good, extended English language skills
Enjoying personal customer service and working with local customers
Independent work and distinct service mentality
Friendly and competent appearance with a hands-on mentality
Flexibility and high willingness to travel internationally (50-70%)
Ideal: Residence near the airport
