Job summary

MKD Electric, LLC seeks a Field Service Engineer- Electrical Testing to support maintenance, repair, and commissioning on low, medium, and high voltage systems up to 500kV. You will contribute to high-quality service and customer satisfaction while coordinating with a team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Electrical Tech or apprenticeship program preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical testing field.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Some travel is required to meet customer needs.
• Preferred OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, and CPR/First Aid training; NICET a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test transformers: CT, PT, CPT, and related equipment.
• Perform power transformer testing: Doble, TTR, insulation resistance, winding resistance.
• Test electro-mechanical and solid-state relays.
• Cable testing: Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC/AC Hi-Pot.
• Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches and study operation diagrams.
• Understand and troubleshoot complex 83-control schemes.
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Maintain safety and follow electrical safety core principals.
