Job summary

GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time Field Service Representative to support integration and tests of networked communication systems on-site in San Diego, CA. You will provide on-site technical support, liaison with military units, and develop test configurations and documentation.

The role requires live field testing in DoD environments, strong Linux/Windows skills, and experience with routing, switching, and security devices. U.S. citizenship with Interim Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with tactical data links (CDL, TTNT, L-16, SADL) is required.
• Live field testing and military communication systems experience is required.
• Knowledge of network security devices (firewall, NGFW, IPS/IDS) is required.
• Experience with event management systems is preferred.
• DoD computer and radio systems experience is required.
• Strong routing, switching, VLANs, IP subnetting, LAN/WAN knowledge is required.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments is required.
• Automation and implementation knowledge is preferred.
• US Citizenship with active Interim Secret clearance (able to obtain/maintain Secret) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for operation of podded communication systems.
• Serve as technical liaison to supported military units.
• Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and configurations.
• Support tests and prototypes of developing systems.
• Create troubleshooting procedures and workarounds.
• Conduct systems and sub-systems testing.
• Review system specifications and network documents.
• Install and configure Windows/Linux servers.
• Set up DNS/Exchange/Active Directory; maintain virtual environments.
• Deploy and maintain network gear; troubleshoot network issues.
• Capture and deploy system images.
