Field Service Engineer - CT/MRI (Junior to Senior)
Advanced Imaging Services, Inc. | Lake Forest, CA | Full-time, On-site
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 per year
Nationwide applicants welcome. Relocation assistance available.
Position Overview
Advanced Imaging Services is recruiting Field Service Engineers at junior, mid-level and senior levels from across the United States. The position is based at our Lake Forest, California facility and includes travel to customer sites. This is not a remote or home-based position. Candidates outside California are welcome if willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available; the scope and terms will be discussed during the hiring process.
Our work centers on the troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance and performance verification of medical imaging equipment, especially CT and MRI systems. Canon/Toshiba experience is particularly valuable, and relevant experience with other manufacturers is welcome. Responsibilities and independence will reflect demonstrated skills and experience.
Experience Levels
- - Junior: A sound foundation in electronics, electromechanical troubleshooting or biomedical equipment service, gained through relevant work, technical training or hands-on projects. Prior CT/MRI scanner repair is preferred, not required for junior consideration. Be ready to explain your troubleshooting process, safe work practices and areas where you need guidance.
- - Mid-level: Hands-on medical equipment or imaging field-service experience, with examples of diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration and customer support. Applicants moving from other medical devices or related technical service fields are welcome, with modality-specific development needs assessed individually.
- - Senior: Demonstrated independent CT and/or MRI scanner hardware troubleshooting, repair and return-to-service verification. Recent hands-on experience, specific manufacturers/models, complex fault resolution and OEM training are important. Canon/Toshiba CT experience and experience across both CT and MRI are strongly preferred.
There is no blanket four-year CT experience requirement for all applicants. We will assess candidates at the appropriate level based on the work they have actually performed. General BMET, cath-lab, laboratory, industrial electronics or software experience can be relevant, but does not by itself establish senior CT/MRI scanner-repair competence.
