Job summary

Russelectric, a Siemens business, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support critical power facilities in the Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati Ohio areas. The role involves startup of automatic transfer switches, warranty work, remedial repairs, and preventive maintenance, with on-call duties and up to 80% travel.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in field service engineering, and experience with power distribution and transfer switch testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in Field Service Engineering.
• Experience with electrical power distribution from low to medium voltage.
• Experience with automatic transfer switch testing.
• Reading schematics and blueprints for power control and automation.
• Familiarity with codes and industry standards.
• Strong client interaction and ability to deliver on time and within budget.
• Strong project management, decision making and organization.
• Self-directed and customer-focused.
• Valid Driver's license in good standing.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with automatic transfer switch startups, warranty efforts, remedial repairs and maintenance contracts.
• Provide field startup support and non-standard system enhancements.
• Respond to emergency calls and travel to sites as needed.
• Supervise safety policy compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with clients in a customer-service oriented manner and identify opportunities to expand project scope.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory laws and safety guidelines.
• Travel up to 80% to related sites.
