Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Control Systems to install and maintain our machines at customer sites. You will prepare electrical cabinets, software configurations, and PLC-related tasks while traveling to client locations.

The role emphasizes strong electrical background, customer communication, and hands-on problem solving, with opportunities for personal and technical training both on-site and in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or automation engineering, or a vocational level degree in the same area with several years of relevant experience.
• Strong service attitude with willingness to travel and solve problems at customer sites.
• Experience with electrical cabinet rebuild, software installation/configuration, and troubleshooting PLCs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute the controls (electrical cabinets/software/PLC) part of installation jobs.
• Conduct service visits and troubleshoot production issues at customers’ sites.
• Supervise local employees in larger installation projects.
• Keep in touch with the customer and report progress.
• Train the customer, colleagues, and provide feedback on results.
