Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the United States Air Force in building an interoperable CBC2 cloud-based command and control system. The role emphasizes networking across large-scale systems, cloud integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on software deployments and security.

The ideal candidate will have extensive networking experience, a DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 9+ years of experience, or Master’s with 7+ years; substitutions allowed.
• Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE).
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting complex networked systems.
• Experience with Windows Domain Controllers and GPOs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational maintenance for complex OS, workstations, and servers.
• Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades to OS and software packages.
• Schedule installations and maintain adherence to IT policies and procedures.
• Monitor and tune multiple systems for optimum performance.
• Develop and implement backup schedules and data recovery plans.
