Job summary

Sciton is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to install, service, and maintain advanced medical laser systems across the region. This salaried, field-based role requires extensive travel and a hands-on technical approach in a customer-facing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in electronics troubleshooting or technical support, plus a degree in Electronics or Laser Technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electronics, Laser Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in electronic system troubleshooting/technical support/customer service/dispatch experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
• Excellent communication, customer interaction and phone interaction skills required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain medical laser systems; Nd:YAG, Er:YAG and IPL.
• Provide professional, courteous, enthusiastic, prompt, and skilled technical service to Sciton customers.
• Use extensive technical troubleshooting and customer support background to provide front line support to customers.
• Respond to service requests and ensure on-site repair within 48 hours.
• Manage and assist in shipment of service parts to customer sites.
• Collaborate with colleagues to update technical support processes and responses.

Position Summary: We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Cincinnati to support customers throughout the region. This is a salaried, field-based role that requires extensive travel, primarily within the local and regional area.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, thrives in a customer-facing environment, and is flexible with travel and scheduling. In this role, you will install, maintain, and service advanced medical laser systems while delivering responsive, high-quality technical support and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service and maintain medical laser systems; Nd :YAG , Er:YAG and intense pulsed light.
• Provide professional, courteous, enthusiastic, prompt, and skilled technical service to Sciton customers.
• Use your extensive technical troubleshooting and customer support background to provide front line support to Sciton customers encountering technical problems.
• Respond to service requests and ensure on-site repair within 48 hours.
• Ability to manage and assist in the shipment of service parts to customer sites.
• Collaborate with colleagues to establish, maintain, and update technical support processes providing responses/answers to common questions and problems.
• Take initiative to ensure customer satisfaction and improvement of the service department processes and procedures
• Build trust with customers by ensuring integrity and accountability.
• Partner with cross-functional Sciton departments to ensure comprehensive, coordinated, and effective communication and support approaches

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and ability to communicate with others clearly and tactfully.

Benefits and Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $100k - $110k. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.
