Job summary

Miltenyi Biotec in Maryland is seeking an Onsite Service Engineer to serve as the dedicated on-site technical representative at a customer facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field with 5+ years of biomedical/automation experience.
• Ability to interface with scientists and technical customers.
• Hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and integration of electromechanical systems.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary on-site technical representative at a customer location; own all service, support, and communication.
• Independently manage installation, qualification, maintenance, and repair of complex biomedical equipment, ensuring GMP/GDP compliance.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders; communicate confidently with scientists and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and network domains; escalate when needed.
• Maintain compliant documentation including service reports, calibration records, and change controls.
• Coordinate service requests and complaints within GMP environments with proper tag-out procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Technical Support, MSAT, Engineering, Quality Control, Sales) for efficient service delivery.
• Operate autonomously, prioritizing service demands while leveraging Miltenyi’s technical network.
• Participate in ongoing training and product updates; stay current on regulatory changes.
• Manage on-site inventory of spare parts and consumables with proper stock control.
