Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Physics or a related subject would be useful, but it’s not the only route in.
• Demonstrated capability and hands‑on industry experience matter for this role.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning and upgrading advanced metrology systems at customer sites worldwide
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and corrective repair work
• Diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, optical and system-level faults
• Supporting customers remotely and on-site to keep performance high
• Monitoring system performance and spotting issues before they become bigger problems
• Training and mentoring distributors and customer service teams
• Feeding customer insight back to engineering for product improvements
• Supporting production, test and commissioning activity at Abingdon HQ when needed
• Helping build a scalable, world-class customer support function
