UNICO, LLC in Wisconsin seeks a Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems at customer sites. The role involves startup, commissioning, repair, testing, and documentation of service activities.

Diagnose and fix issues with systems, and complete service and expense reports on all jobs using knowledge of 690-volt AC and 1100-volt DC systems, PLC logic tools, measurement tools and test equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, and current clamps. Plan and execute startup, commissioning, repair, and failure diagnosis of Unico drives Series 2400, 1100 and 1105 and control systems. Execute startup for various methods test stand, corrugator control, and metal processing. Install, troubleshoot, service and repair complex and sophisticated electronic and mechanical products. Set up, adjust and operate complex test equipment to determine nature of problem, necessary requiring and replacement of components, modules, and circuit boards. Perform mechanical repairs of equipment in conjunction with electronic repairs. Analyze and repair electronic drive systems, trouble shoot problems with both hardware and software applications. Troubleshoot PLC logic and signals and modify PLC logic programs. * 50% domestic travel is required at the customer site for system service, repair and installation
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering technology or a related field. Any combination of education, experience, or credentials evaluated to be equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified evaluation service is acceptable. 5 years of experience. Experience used for degree equivalency may also be used to satisfy the professional experience requirement. Experience must include the following: PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming; knowledge of electronic control systems including feedback loops; understanding communication protocols for computers. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
