Job summary

GE HealthCare in Tampa, FL is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to perform preventive maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on MRI/CT equipment within a hospital or healthcare system. The role requires working onsite at customer locations in the Tampa area and upholding hospital protocols.

• Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR an equivalent military education and a minimum 2 years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 6 years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.

Job Description Summary

As the Field Service Engineer 2, you will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for MRI/CT one or more modalities within a hospital or healthcare system in Tampa, FL area.

This role requires the successful candidate to work onsite at our customer locations and to be willing to work in the Tampa FL area.

Special Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch and squat, kneel and crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex and extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
