Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 to perform preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs on medical equipment at healthcare facilities in the Salt Lake City area. This is a second-shift role (noon to 9 pm, Monday-Friday) supporting optimal patient care delivery.

You will build strong customer relationships, document all work, and adhere to hospital protocols while coordinating parts and on-call scheduling to ensure smooth service operations and high patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military education.
• 4+ years servicing electronic medical equipment.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform overhead/extended tasks.
• Willingness for after-hours, on-call, and weekend schedules; second shift preferred.

• Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs unassisted; bend, stoop, climb, and stand for extended periods
• Good hand and finger dexterity with ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level
• Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call schedules, including weekends
• Willingness to work second shift preferred
