Selectek is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Wixom, MI, responsible for troubleshooting and servicing technical equipment, particularly focusing on PLCs and motor control devices. Job description

We are hiring for a Field Service Engineer in the Wixom, MI area. (Located about 30 Miles NW of Detroit)

Base salary range starts at 80K, relevant to experience and education.

Required

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Understanding of PLC's, VFD's, electrical troubleshooting, controls, wiring, pumps, motors.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management & clients.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Preferred

• Water/Waste-Water Treatment plant experience HIGHLY preferred
• 2- 4 year electrical engineering degree

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting of PLC's, instrumentation, and motor control devices such as variable frequency drives and reduced voltage starters.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
• Tie workflow to schedule
• Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Document processes
• Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
• Build positive relationships with customers

This is a SERVICE job. You will be provided a laptop, digital meter, fuel card, company vehicle and servicing water/wastewater treatment plants typically within a 2 hour radius of Wixom, MI.
