Job summary

WGNSTAR, an ABM company, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment in the Malta, NY area.

This role requires 60–80% travel domestically or occasionally international, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical schematics and drawings, and a commitment to safety. The position offers full benefits and a competitive hourly pay rate of $28–$32 plus DOE.

Qualifications

• Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Maintenance technician skills with solid experience in resolving tool-related challenges.
• A.S./B.S. degree or equivalent military training.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% domestically and/or international travel as needed.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $28 - $32/hr + DOE

Location: Malta, NY area

Travel: 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel.

Position Type: Full Time

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers.
• Performs on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Understands and adheres to all site fab protocol requirements.
• Comprehends test equipment including various test meters, hand and power tools.
• Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
• English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel and/or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required. Subject to customer's business needs and requirements. Travel expenses paid.
• Valid Driver's License Required

Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
