PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for field engineering support of all PFI products within the assigned territory and/or products including, but not limited to technical product performance issues (SAR’s), product applications, and gathering of technical data to quote and support PFI-Global products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to customer needs within assigned territory and/or product range, primarily focusing on Food Grade Industrial Equipment products, mainly Industrial Conveyor products. Provide technical services over the phone and in the field.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 50%, requiring driving and flying for extended periods.
- Conduct site surveys, provide technical product information, training, problem solving, and applications engineering. Include failure analysis and reporting.
- Establish good communication with Product Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure high customer service levels.
- Understand PFI products and their applications.
- Manage Labor Reporting (FASF’s & FSTS’s), including work details, time, and costs charged to customers.
- Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, Video Conferencing, and email.
- Exhibit trustworthiness, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
- Utilize good verbal and written communication skills.
- Work hours may vary; regular attendance and extra hours as needed are required.
- Analyze, inspect, and recommend product rework, refurbishment, or modification, including reporting.
- Perform additional assignments and provide training as needed.
- Lead on-site teams for product lifecycle management and perform monthly performance reviews and technical support for contracted locations.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of CAD software.
- Welding skills (MIG & TIG) and ability to operate small power tools.
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in high-paced and stressful environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience
- Two-year Industrial Technology degree with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent.
- Millwright Apprenticeship or related experience preferred.
Training & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one at PFI’s expense.

Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, stand, walk, and lift/move over 100 pounds. Capable of working at high elevations and in various environmental conditions. Specific vision and hearing abilities are required.
Environmental Adaptability
Work environment includes moderate noise, exposure to wet/humid conditions, high places, airborne particles, outdoor weather, electrical hazards, and moving mechanical parts. Use of safety gear is required.
