Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support semiconductor processing equipment at a client site in Rio Rancho, NM. The role includes a six-month training period, after which you’ll support repairs and maintenance with strong documentation and cross-team updates.

You’ll work with customer leadership daily, learn from shifts, and ensure equipment uptime through proactive problem solving and precise execution of service tasks.

Qualifications

• 4 years of maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical schematics.
• Experience reading schematics and using a multimeter for root cause analysis.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, preferably metrology or beam-related.
• Military MOS experience relevant to avionics or electronics is a plus.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading equipment manufacturer within the semiconductor industry. This individual will be responsible for working onsite at one of their clients in Rio Rancho, NM. For the first 6 months you will go through thorough training both in a class room environment and on the job. Once completed you will be the acting support representative, assisting in any repairs or routine maintenance of their equipment. Each day you will begin by learning from the previous shift what activities were completed and what is still pending completion. You will also sit down with the clients leadership team to discuss any critical updates and align on priorities for that day. Strong documentation and communication skills is a must for this team as you will be responsible for providing updates to the team directly along with documentation inside of their tool.

Additional responsibilities

• Orders and installs parts
• Responds to emergency service calls as required
• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.

Skills and Requirements

• 4 Years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems
• Experience reading electrical schematics and leveraging a multi meter to perform root cause analysis
• Ability to work overtime and travel to other sites on an as needed basis
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment preferably within Metrology / E Beam
• Military experience in the following MOS’:o Avionics Techniciano Load MasterElectronics Technician
