Job description

Entry Level IT Field Technician 1-3 years of experience

Applicants must have the flexibility to be away from home Monday through Friday. (ALL EXPENSES COVERED)

Our client is seeking a technically minded individual to support Patient Simulators. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining simulators at medical-related sites such as hospitals and universities. The simulators provide modern, hands-on training methods for professionals and students. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will travel within their designated area to perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper operation of the simulators.

Travel Information

Travel typically involves driving up to 5 hours within the area, with mileage reimbursement after the 30th mile. For longer distances, hotel accommodations are provided, and travel over 5 hours may involve flying. Most travel is local, but flexibility to travel (driving or flying) Monday through Friday is required. The position includes a 13-week training period, during which you will be away from home Monday through Friday, with classroom and field shadowing weekly. All travel expenses are covered by the client.

Requirements

  • Basic IT knowledge; experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP addressing)
  • Proficiency with Windows 10
  • Flexibility to travel Monday through Friday
  • Electronics aptitude is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Open to recent graduates, as attendance during training is required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must take an IKM assessment (similar to a CompTIA A+)

Additional Information

  • Simulators run on Windows 10 and connect to the client’s network
  • 13-week paid training, travel out of state, Monday to Friday
  • All travel expenses paid by the company
  • Mileage reimbursement after 30 miles, $65 daily food credit during travel

  • Travel time is compensated after the first hour of travel

Pay and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, and PTO. Eligibility depends on employment status and length.
