Role Description

Technic is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer to join our Equipment Division. This field-based position will support customers throughout the U.S. with the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced surface finishing and electroplating equipment.

Key responsibilities include installing and commissioning equipment at customer facilities, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and providing technical support. The Field Service Engineer will also train customers on equipment operation, document service activities, and work with internal teams to help ensure equipment is operating safely and effectively.

Frequent travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment, field service, maintenance, or a related technical environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintaining industrial equipment
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify appropriate solutions
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to clearly explain equipment operation and provide customer training
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, mechanical technology, or a related technical field preferred
• Familiarity with electroplating, surface finishing, or chemical processing equipment is a plus
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments and follow established safety procedures
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the U.S.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
