This position involves traveling to client sites, primarily around the Chicagoland area, with no overnight travel required. The role focuses on collaborating with engineers for the startup and commissioning of customer systems in the electronic, electrical, and pneumatic spaces.
Responsibilities
Travel to client sites, focusing on the Chicagoland area.
Work with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems.
Follow and update drawing packages as needed.
Set up workstations with all necessary software.
Communicate project updates and timelines with the project manager.
Troubleshoot issues during startup and maintenance phases.
Essential Skills
Experience in electrical systems, building automation, and data centers.
Installation and service knowledge.
Customer service and field service expertise.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background working with industrial boilers and chillers.
Work Environment
The role will be based onsite at customers' locations, including data centers and schools. While there is an office in Lisle, visits to the office are infrequent. You will be provided with a company truck, tools, computer, and phone. Occasionally, collaboration with other technicians is required, but independent work is a significant aspect of the job.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $46.00/hr.
