Job summary

Veterans Prime, Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair electromechanical equipment at customer sites, facilities, and offices. This full-time role includes a generous benefits package and a first-year salary of $80-85K.

You will travel nationwide up to 100%, perform on-site and phone troubleshooting, and support product demonstrations while building lasting customer relationships. Extensive training is provided; you must live within an hour of a major airport.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Industrial mechanical systems knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Expert knowledge of supplied machinery; extensive training provided.
• Requires travel up to 100% of the time, including 10–14 days away.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair electromechanical equipment at customer sites, facilities, and offices.
• Use hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters to perform work.
• Communicate technical issues to Engineering.
• Provide in-house phone troubleshooting to customers.
• Support sales for product demonstrations.
• Provide a range of known solutions to problems.
• Innovate to resolve new problems.
• Travel nationwide; after-hours support may be required.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Book travel with company credit card; reimbursed weekly.
• Must live within 1 hour of a major airport.

IMMEDIATE HIRING NEED

Field Service Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, service, and repair electromechanical equipment at customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and sales offices
• Utilizes hand tools and test equipment, such as multimeters, to perform work
• Effectively communicates technical issues and findings with the Engineering Department
• Performs in house phone troubleshooting support to customers
• Supports sales for product demonstrations
• Provides a range of known solutions to problems
• Innovates on the fly to resolve new and unique problems
• May be required to provide after-hours phone troubleshooting support
• Will be asked to travel extensively, nationwide
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Performs other duties, as assigned by the manager
• Able to book own travel with credit card (reimbursed weekly)
• Must live within 1 hour of a major airport

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems
• Knowledge or experience of industrial mechanical systems preferred, but not necessary
• Expert knowledge of supplied machinery (company provides extensive training)
• Requires travel up to 100% of the time, inclusive of consecutive overnights, between 10-14 days
• Ability to accurately and effectively communicate problems and suggest possible solutions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain detailed records
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
