Job summary

Nordson Measurement & Control is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, and maintain equipment at customer sites across Georgia and surrounding areas. The role requires travel and strong technical skills to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and software, provide training, and collaborate with engineering and sales teams to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Military Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues.
• Repair and replace defective components and parts.
• Respond promptly to service calls and customer support requests.
• Document service activities and repair reports accurately.
• Provide technical training and operational guidance to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and sales teams to resolve complex issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Travel frequently to customer locations as required.

Job Summary

Region: Georgia, South Carolina, Surrounding areas. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. Travel required.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Education And Experience Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Military Equivalent. Experience in Industrial Technology, or a related field a plus.
• 2+ years of field service, maintenance, or technical support experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
